Chef Grant Achatz and Nick Kokonas wanted a restaurant that was a departure from all that came before. The cuisine of Chef Achatz is beautiful, whimsical, creative, and above all, delicious, and their restaurant needed to reflect all of these things.

Alinea fulfills this goal – and more.

Courses range from one-bite tastes that dazzle, to substantial composed dishes, each meant to complement the next. The ultimate result is an integrated and engaging sequence of tastes, textures, and aromas. Chef Achatz creates food that captures a sense of wonder. There is an emotional element that interplays with the ingredients and incorporates memories like seasoning.

Alinea has become a vanguard of fine dining in the United States. Chef Achatz and the restaurant have won five James Beard Foundation Awards, four stars from the Chicago Tribune, and was awarded three Michelin stars for the sixth consecutive year.

Pricing for reserving the entire restaurant starts at $51,216.10, depending on the scope of the function and the day of the week. Alinea can seat up to 64 guests in the dining rooms. Please note that there are stairs but no elevators available for the upstairs areas.

Events at Alinea include:

  • Any length of menu that you desire, up to the current Chef’s Tasting Menu (usually comprised of 18-22 courses
  • Reserve beverage pairings, including rare, vintage, and eclectic wines, beers, and occasional spirits
  • All beverages and incidentals including aperitifs, tea and coffee, and bottled water
  • Custom printed menus

All charges are exclusive of tax and service fees.
